Official Release Process
Below will walk you through the release process from start to finish.
Create the project
Enter in title, description, cover, ownership, and other fields. Then once you click create it will take you to the project.
Don't worry if these values might change, you can edit everything all the way up until the project is published.
Upload Tracks
Add in the official release files you would like. Projects support all common audio file formats, but compressed formats like FLAC and MP3 are best for streaming.
It is recommended to use the storage features to save lossless tracks in a separate project and the compressed tracks in a release project for streaming.
Arrange the ordering of the tracks and change the names to what you would like. Any uploaded track can be deleted if the track is not needed anymore.
Render Project
This is the view for what listeners will see. Useful for confirming everything is setup correctly before you start the publishing process.
You will be able to listen and interact with the songs exactly as if they were released.
Publishing
When the tracks and project values are ready, you can then publish the project. Once the project has been published, no more changes, edits, or updates.
Publishing does NOT automatically release the project. The project still must go through the system for completion, validity, and copyright checks.
This process generally takes 1-2 days.
Release Time
Once the published project is confirmed ready to release, an email to set a release date will be sent.
Either chose to release now or a future date.
